When Life Asked Her to Pause
The Shift
A few years into building Simply Sacred Oils, life shifted in ways Helen couldn't have anticipated. Her parents began facing serious health challenges that required her full attention. Like many caregivers know, the aging process can thrust individuals into a whirlwind of responsibilities that reshape everything. Helen made the difficult but necessary choice to put her business on hold, focusing on self-care and caring for her aging parents. Although it was challenging to step back from her professional dreams, it allowed her to be fully present during a vulnerable time in their lives—a gift she will always treasure.
Navigating the Unexpected
Then came the global pandemic, affecting countless lives, including Helen's. With approximately 75% of her vendors closing their doors, she adapted as best she could, focusing solely on immediate needs and online sales. Though it was heartbreaking to watch her dreams pause, this time afforded her the invaluable gift of more moments with her parents. Their health continued its difficult decline; her mother faced physical paralysis and dementia, while her father battled colon cancer alongside various other ailments. This period humbled her profoundly. Helen turned to every resource available, striving to provide comfort and support to her parents. While her business dreams often receded to the background, she felt an unyielding connection with the universe—a recognition that she was walking a path her soul had chosen for this lifetime.
Losses That Reshaped Her
Tragedy struck in a way Helen still struggles to comprehend when she lost Steve in a tragic accident, leaving a profound void in both her life and her work. She often reflects on how it felt like the car that struck him also hit her. The reverberations of his loss still echo through her days. His energy was a constant in her life, and adapting to his absence remains a daily challenge. Recently, Helen faced another profound loss with the passing of her father—her hero and best friend. His absence weighs heavily on her heart, yet she strives each day to find solace and honor his memory through how she lives and creates.

Through heartache and healing, Helen has decided to relaunch Simply Sacred Oils with a renewed focus on authenticity and the fundamentals of her craft. Every experience—both uplifting and devastating—has deepened her understanding of her purpose. The universe has been her guide, and she is ready to share Simply Sacred Oils once more, infused with her love for nature and all the wisdom she has gained along this winding path. Helen is humbled and grateful for every aspect of this journey—brokenhearted yet healing, stronger yet softer—and she is fully prepared to welcome others into this next chapter.

Growing up in her grandparents' Cypriot home, she was immersed in the culinary arts, watching them transform simple ingredients into exquisite meals. Later, in her Greek father's kitchen, she experienced the joy of creating alongside her parents as they whipped up beloved Greek specialties. Taught that one doesn’t need to be a trained chef or expert to create delicious and healthy meals, Helen learned that the key ingredients are intention and love. When someone cooks with love in their heart, it transforms their recipes into alchemy. This early exposure shaped her love for natural products and profoundly influenced her approach to both cooking and crafting wellness items.
